Tog and his team of dino hunters were chasing a mother long-horn over a rocky mountain. Tog slipped over some pebbles and fell deep into the abyss down below.
Three days later his hunters found him bathing down a stream just a few huts length from that rocky mountain.
They asked where he had been and what he has done to survive those three days.
Tog replied that he did go hungry but fell onto a nest of dinosaur eggs. He broke one on the fall and it enveloped him entirely. While he was submerged in it, Tog swallowed up all of its york and the glaire of that egg. He thought he was going to die but, turned out, he got stronger and just had to add a few more berries up the hillside for the three days.
Eggs were eaten raw since that time, until Tog's grandson discovered that if he scraped two very old dry bamboo pieces together, some smoke and smell appeared. How those ancestors of ours finally cooked eggs with fire is another story.
There's your hypothetical answer!
