It all depends who I'm going with.  If I'm going with a bunch of boys who can hold their own weight when it comes to hiking and going into survival mode then sure

but

I will not go with love ones such as a gf or wife whom if they are in trouble, I carry their weight.  You know that people who are in trouble with the law tends to hid out in remote places.  If you run into them, it is like running into pirates.  They may rob you cuz they are desperate for supplies. 

I used to lived in them high desert terrain and I hated it.  I get flash back of a fool if I go into an area like that again, however, put me someone on an island with access to fishing spots and I can do that type of survival.

i did see some homeless people living in the desert
they have the tent set up and everything in the middle of the desert
no clue how they get water or food
